GS Medical Group requires learners to reflect on their practice as it is standard practice in Postgraduate Medical Education and Learners are expected to keep a Learner's Journal Reflections are entirely the learner's choice and are confidential to the learner.
Learners are also encouraged to reflect on “Critical Incidents “ events of educational value in the life of the learner. Critical incidents need not be untoward incidents and may not be necessarily clinical.
Reflections included in the Learner’s Journal are entirely confidential and intended to support the Expert’s practice. The reflections included in the Learner’s Journal are subject to the GDPR rules.
However, where the Reflection or other information about a member’s own practice has been shared freely with others, including in the Forum or in discussions with a Supervisor or Mentor or other Members of the Group or during Appraisal meetings subject to the Group’s Terms and Conditions, they are no longer treated as confidential.
It is agreed by the member that such disclosure is voluntary and always provided on a on a discretionary basis.
